Fantasy of Lights Parade Information

We hope you will join the fun by returning the enclosed Parade Entry Form. There is NO ENTRY FEE.

The rules are simple:

  • All entry forms must be received by 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2018.
  • Parade Entry Unit Numbers may be picked up after 8:00 am prior to the parade on parade day at
    the Faire Information Booth.
  • The parade will start by ACE Hardware (“South Pole”) and end at Monterey Trail (“North Pole”).
  • The staging area will be along San Carlos Trail.
  • You should be in the parade line-up no later than 5:30 pm.
  • Please do not throw candy or other objects to spectators.
  • Please arrange for items to be handed Out.
  • This is a Fantasy of Lights so light up your entry and be seen!
  • The parade will start after dark. Be creative and have fun!

PLEASE REMEMBER: The official Santa is designated by the Holiday Faire Committee.

We will be awarding in these categories: Float, Marching, Vehicle, Animal and Best in Show.

Awards will be announced at the end of the parade.

*PLEASE BE AWARE* Parade entries with children, horses and other animals MAY be placed near vehicles with loud and running motors, flashing lights and sirens during line-up and along the parade route. The parade route is approximately 3⁄4 of a mile on asphalt, rises gently uphill most of the way and crosses a main thoroughfare. While we do our best to accommodate everyone in our parade it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to know what may harm or frighten the participants in your group and to NOT include participants which would put your group or themselves at risk.

NO TOBACCO OR ALCOHOL PRODUCTS PERMITTED IN PARADE. CLEANING OF HORSE TRAILERS IS NOT PERMITTED ALONG PARADE ROUTE. YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER AND DISPOSE OF WASTE FROM ALL PEOPLE AND ANIMALS IN YOUR GROUP!

General Release of Liability : The undersigned hereby releases and agrees to hold harmless the Mountain Memories Association and the Frazier Mountain Car Club, including their volunteers and board members, from the loss or damage to the undersigned's property or any personal injury which he/she or any helpers may sustain while setting up and/or participating in the Holiday Faire and Parade. The undersigned agrees to abide by the rules set forth by the Holiday Faire Committee. The Committee reserves the right to make the final interpretation of the rules and the acceptance or denial of participants. *PLEASE BE AWARE* Parade entries with children, horses and other animals MAY be placed near vehicles with loud and running motors, flashing lights and sirens during line-up and along the parade route. I further agree that if any damage and/or loss occur from any cause, I will make no claim against Mountain Memories Associaon, Frazier Mountain Car Club, their directors or members, nor insgate any legal proceedings for personal injuries, death or property damage arising from any incident or accident. However, I am aware I will be held financially and legally responsible if my animal or vehicle causes damage or injury to any spectator, structure or plant life along the parade route.
